Thanks to Betamaxdc for the music: youtube.com Ticket #820953770. The kanji 足 can be pronounced "ashi" when you just want to say "foot" or "feet". When it is combined with other kanji it is often pronounced "soku" or "zoku". When used in the verb 足りる you pronounce it "tariru". See below for more: 足 ashi 一足 issoku = 1 pair of shoes, socks, stocking, stc. 足りる tariru 足る taru 足す tasu It seems to be pronounced as "zoku" in rare cases. |
